PUT ON BY THE CITY OF THOROLD
The Niagara Jazz Festival, presented by TD Ready Commitment, kicks off on Sunday, June 29 (11am – 9pm) with international jazz musicians, artisans, and food vendors. On Monday, June 30 (3pm – 10pm), enjoy Rock ‘N Blues featuring North American blues artists. On Tuesday, July 1 (1pm - 10pm) celebrate Thorold’s 50th Anniversary with music, artisans, community booths, a Wall of Reflection, and a giant birthday card to sign. The weekend closes with fireworks at 10pm over Battle of Beaverdams Park.

The Period Preparedness Program exists to educate and uplift people with vulvas as they approach Menarche. We shift the narrative from reproduction to whole-body well-being, creating safe, shame-free spaces for learning about Menstruation.
We will explore Vulvar and Pelvic Anatomy, Self Care and Hygiene, The Four Phases of Menstruation and how to support your cycle. So, let's tune in to our bodies, and celebrate cycles as a natural, essential part of our well-being.

Our weekly BIA Car Show continues this month in conjunction with the Thorold Community Market. This vibrant marketplace features local farmers, vendors, and artisans,operating every Wednesday from 5pm to 9pm until August 27with a special closing celebration on Saturday, September 13 (the final car show will be on August 27). This event is hosted at the Battle of Beaverdams Park located on Sullivan Avenue.
The BIA is pleased to announce that we have partnered with Community Care as our partnered charity this summer. They will be selling 50/50 tickets each week. Please consider supporting Community Care by purchasing a 50/50 ticket.

Our weekly Yoga in the Park continues this month. Come join us at one of our future sessions at our new location,Memorial Park(by the Thorold Centre 50+). Parking is available in the centre's lot, street parking (where permitted) or municipal parking lots.
After Yoga, make sure to take a stroll downtown, grab a coffee or snack and shop.
Yoga is held on Saturdays 9am-10am. Upcoming dates are as follows:

Have you noticed the new planters next to the benches on Front Street? This was a joint project in between the BIA and the City of Thorold. The BIA purchased the planters, flowers and plants and the City picked up the plants from the suppliers and planted them for us. Thank you to Scott Walton and his team for all their hard work!
